Group Automower Product Specialist

Location: Thame OX9 2NZ

With the robotic revolution in full swing, we are looking for an enthusiastic and tech savvy individual to work alongside our sales professionals, taking hands-on ownership of robotic mower sales across the Farol group.
 
As well as managing the Automower product range, you will be trained on the latest Husqvarna CEORA and EPOS GPS robotic mowing systems, before being tasked with visiting customers across the green space management and sports turf industries to showcase these revolutionary new products.

Connected Support Advisor - Head Office

Location: Head Office (Thame)

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced individual to join the Connected Support department at our Milton Common (Thame) Head Office.

You will be an integral part of the team and will use our cutting edge tools and technology to provide central remote support to our customers. You will provide key assistance and support with technical faults or Precision Ag issues, ensuring minimum downtime and maximum customer satisfaction. You will be pro-actively planning & scheduling services centrally for 6 depots; your role will be to communicate with customers (both internal and external), allocate and schedule work. You will also carry out other duties such as:

  • John Deere (JD Link) & Kramer (EquipCare) telematics machine and platform management
  • Ensuring our customer service levels meet our customers’ needs whilst maintaining a first-class standard of service at all times
  • Get current and new customers increasingly engaged with John Deere and Farol Technology

This role would ideally suit someone who has prior experience in a coordinating/planning, technical & customer-facing position. 

Person Specification

It is essential that you have and can demonstrate the following attributes:

  • A background within farming/agriculture
  • Exceptional organisational, administrative and planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - able to work well with colleagues
  • Excellent customer service skills with the desire to put the customer first (whether an internal or external customer)
  • Strong IT skills - this role is office & computer-based, and requires the ability to quickly process information, using both standard (Microsoft) and bespoke software

Senior Sales Support - Asset Finance (Head Office, Thame)

Location: Head Office (Thame)

Farol is a very successful and fast-growing family owned company with a turnover of £100m. As one of the UK's leading John Deere dealerships we employ over 250 people, of which 120 are based at our Head Office near Thame, where we centrally administrate for the group.

We are currently looking to fill the role of an experienced Equipment Finance specialist. Working closely with the Sales team and the Asset Finance Manager, you will be providing administrative support to Farol’s Sales Directors, on both the Agriculture and Groundcare side.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Processing Finance Quotes
  • Raising Finance Documents
  • Processing Finance approvals and updating systems
  • Liaising with Customers where necessary to request information needed to complete deal
  • Financial Conduct Authority – making sure the team is compliant with FCA guidelines and assisting with the yearly reporting
  • Processing Settlements on outstanding finance – making sure all processes have been followed correctly before passing to Finance Manager for payout if necessary
  • Monitoring and updating deals in process, chasing overdue items
  • Supporting ad hoc request that come into the Funding Inbox
  • Supporting the Finance Manager/Directors

Previous experience of working in an Asset Finance / Equipment Finance Role is essential.

The right candidate will have the below skills:

Parts/Showroom Sales Assistant - Newark

Our multi-million pound, brand new, state of the art depot in Newark is due to open shortly and we are looking for a Parts/Showroom Sales Assistant to join us! Your role will be to promote and sell homeowner/professional equipment to our new customer base – this will include Stihl and Husqvarna – whilst also suppling our customers with any other Parts and sundries they may need.

You will also be responsible for the presentation of products in the showroom, keeping stock up to date, and taking a proactive approach to increase the customer footfall into the Newark showroom to maximise sales.

The ideal candidate will have a degree of familiarity with the garden machinery/agricultural industry, along with previous experience of working in a Parts or retail sales role.

Hours of work are 8am - 5/5.30pm Monday to Fridays with Saturday mornings on a rota basis. A very competitive salary is on offer for the right candidate.

PDI/Assembly Technicians - Thame

Location: Thame

Farol Ltd is an extremely successful family owned business based near Thame, Oxfordshire. We are looking for 2 PDI/Assembly Technicians to join our growing Groundcare division at our brand new PDI centre just outside Thame, Oxfordshire.

Your day to day tasks will be assembling and carrying out PDIs on various types of Groundcare/Golf & Turf Machinery - from domestic ride-on lawn mowers up to larger machines such as compact tractors and professional mowing equipment. You will be working with the prestigious John Deere brand amongst others, and your work will need to be representative of the high quality of these products.

This workshop based role requires people with experience in similar roles previously but doesn't necessarily require knowledge of Groundcare machinery as this can be taught. What is essential is an eye for detail and the ability to produce work of an exceptional quality.

Parts Apprentice - Twyford

Due to expansion within the business, we currently have an opportunitiy within the Parts department at our Twyford depot for a Golf & Turf Parts Retailer Apprentice.

Your apprenticeship will teach you how to manage John Deere’s sophisticated parts systems, run a profitable retail environment, merchandise goods effectively, and understand the value of John Deere products and the importance of selling on quality rather than on price.

Our Parts Retailer program not only covers all the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to complete the Apprenticeship Standard, but also includes a fascinating equipment knowledge section.  This equips you with the knowledge and understanding to advise and inform customers correctly and accurately when dealing with their enquiries.

Our Parts Retailer apprenticeship follows the level 2 Apprenticeship Standard; Retailer (ST0327)

The program duration is approximately 15 months and includes 5, 1-week of block release training, conducted at the purpose-built training facility in Radcliffe on Trent and John Deere’s head office in Langar (both in Nottinghamshire)

English & Maths will be embedded into the training blocks or delivered during additional blocks if required (dependent on prior achievement & initial assessment results). Apprentices are required to have achieved English & Maths at GCSE A-C or 4 & above, or Functional Skills Level 2 prior to being put forward for the End Point Assessment.

No experience is required, but an interest in the Golf & Turf industry is required! Following the succesful completion of your apprenticeship, you will achieve the position of Parts Assistant at our Twyford depot.

Self-motivation with experience in Agricultural, Construction and Truck tyre fitting would be an advantage, however, this is not essential as full training will be given.

A full UK driving licence is essential, Excellent Rates of Pay, Company Pension and up to 25 days holiday.
