Operations Engineer - Milton Common or Hinckley Depot

We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to be based at our Milton Common or Hinckley Depots. The role is required to carry out Process Improvement projects activities within the business and to prepare for the implementation of a new business system in the near future. 

The primary purpose of the role is to analyse performance data to identify improvement opportunities in all areas of the business from order receipt to fulfilment, Aftersales and Customer Service. You will also ensure that business process improvement projects are implemented, and benefits realised to improve overall Safety, Quality and Customer Experience throughout the company. 

Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of Lean Manufactuting or Six Sigma methodologies will help the successful candidate have a positive impact on the business and help Farol towards its goal of behing the pre-eminent John Deere franchise in the UK.

The position would suit a recent graduate with one or two year's experience in a business improvement role.

Technology Consultant - Midhurst Depot

Location: Midhurst, West Sussex, GU29 9XY

We are currently looking for a Precision Agriculture and Technology Consultant in our southern territory to be based at our Midhurst depot.

The role will involve working with customers to improve their businesses by offering cutting edge technology solutions, training and advice. You will be helping the customer get the most out of their John Deere equipment and Farm Management software through optimisation and driver training, along with providing valuable insights from machine data to help them run their operation more efficiently. This is a fast moving and dynamic role in a rapidly expanding and developing team and as such, your input will help drive the future growth of our business.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in the agricultural, plant or related industry and be comfortable with using new technology. They should have a keen interest in Precision Agriculture and/or Machine learning and a thirst for knowledge. Great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to a variety of people are a must and a qualification in Agriculture or related topics would be an advantage.

Parts Assistant - Midhurst Depot

Location: Midhurst, West Sussex, GU29 9XY

Farol Ltd are currently looking for an enthusiastic Parts Assistant to join our busy Aftersales department at our Midhurst depot.

As a key member of the team, your role will be a varied one to include the following responsibilities:

  • Receiving of parts into stock
  • Assisting with showroom sales
  • Assisting the team with parts returns to suppliers
  • Ordering and picking parts for technicians
  • Assisting with stock take in winter months
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

This role would suit someone with a farming/agricultural back ground who is familiar with the machinery and terminology and looking for a successful career in the industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service skills and the ability to use IT equipment is also required.

Service Coordinator - Midhurst Depot

Location: Midhurst, West Sussex, GU29 9XY

Farol Ltd is an extremely successful multi-site family owned agricultural business. Established in 1976 and now employing 250 people, we are the market leaders in agriculture, groundcare and homeowner products, holding the market leading John Deere franchise along with many other brands.

We are looking for a confident individual with a passion for farming and agriculture to join our Midhurst depot’s Aftersales Department as Service Co-ordinator.

 

Providing support to both our Golf & Turf and Agricultural Service Teams, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Answering telephone calls and general call handling; dealing with customer enquiries quickly and effectively
  • Downloading Technician’s scanners/zappers onto the payroll system, preparing payroll reports recording holidays, sickness and absence
  • Aiding the Service Department workflow;  writing up Technician’s job cards, ensuring they are accurate for both parts and labour, and then processing completed job cards through to invoice
  • Assisting with the day-to-day control and smooth running of the department; assisting with the management and scheduling of customers’ bookings and fielding customer enquiries
  • Various other ad-hoc tasks involved with providing general support to 2 Service Advisors and 10 technicians.

 

Person Specification

  • Previous experience as a Service Administrator/Co-ordinator/Advisor would be preferred
  • A background in farming/agriculture and basic knowledge of farming machinery
  • Excellent customer service skills (both over the phone and face to face)
  • Excellent all-round administration skills
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues
  • The ability to multitask and work quickly and accurately

Credit Control Team Leader - Thame Depot

Location: Thame, Oxfordshire, OX9 2NZ

We are currently looking for an experienced Credit Control Team Leader to take the responsibility for the daily supervision of a small receivables team. Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager, you will also have your own hands-on credit controller duties including: 

  • Oversee and assist the accounts receivables team
  • Updating Weekly Cash Flow reports following sales deals through to payment
  • Liaising with the Asset Finance Manager, Salesman and Sales Admin Team to ensure cash flow is maximized and hi-lighting timing issues with the Office Manager and Sales Directors
  • Dealing with our Finance providers including sorting queries 
  • Dealing with escalated customer accounts - queries & overdue accounts

The role will oversee the workflow of the team to ensure work is completed in a timely fashion. You will aslo be responsible for maintaining debtor days and ageing profile KPI's, as well as ad hoc duties to include project work, analysis and business development.

The successful applicant will have experience of managing a receivables function, in addition to having excellennt organisation and communication skills. Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables) are also required.

Sales Administrator - Thame Depot
